What are communities? Communities are areas where information can be finely tuned to your needs. MUSE is a mult-layer system, some information is set by the individual, some is provided by the University's Central information systems and some is provided by Departments, Research Groups etc. The latter type of information is provided via the Communities Sections. For instance, information specifically targeted to Economcis Undergraduate Student (as opposed to UG Students from any other dept) is provided via the Economics UG Community, such as student handbooks, module material, information about computing labs and common room Etc. Similarly Staff Communities can be used to hold discussions with colleagues, act as a repository for minutes of meetings etc. You can see screenshots of the a few example communities here:
