MBA students take a look behind the scenes at local manufacturing companies
Management School MBA students recently visited to two local manufacturing companies; Newburgh and Energy Alloys. Both visits included a tour of the shop floor and a presentation into each organisation’s history and their tailored manufacturing practices and methodologies.
The visit to Newburgh at the Rotherham site gave the MBA students a unique, behind the scenes look at a locally run organisation that specialises in the manufacturing of bespoke engineering components and is experienced at working with a range of materials from aluminium to aerospace alloys.
The visit to Energy Alloys provided the students with an international perspective on manufacturing within the oil and gas sector. Energy Alloys provides products and services to global oil and gas manufacturers and service companies.
Thanks to both organisations for sharing their expertise and the visits were well-received by the students.
