Invited as a Chief Guest to Noorul Islam University, in Tamil Nadu, India, for the International Conference on Modelling, Optimisation and Computing, Professor Lenny Koh, Associate Dean of The University of Sheffield Management School, delivered a speech at the inaugural session of the conference, and was accompanied by the Chancellor of the University and Chairman of NIMS Medicity, Dr. A.P. Majeed Khan, and Pro Chancellor and MD of NIMS Medicity, M.S Faizal Khan for a visit to Medicity. As part of this visit, Prof Koh has also planted a tree to mark her visit and an important collaboration.
Prof Koh said: ‘This visit and tree planting event are great ways to celebrate the relation with the University and Medicity, and also to contribute to the co celebration of the Queen Diamond Jubilee for her Majesty in Great Britain. A dialog has taken place on various collaborative and innovative ideas which will bring some multi disciplinary research together to benefit the most needed community and society. This civic engagement will form a very important bridge between Sheffield and India.’
