Professor John Cullen from the Management School delivered a presentation on “Managing Reverse Logistics through the Supply Chain to Improve Performance” at the International Reverse Logistics Association Conference and Expo in Amsterdam on 17 June 2008. There were over 450 delegates at the Conference and they represented nearly 200 companies at Europe’s largest reverse logistics conference. John’s work on reverse logistics has been undertaken in collaboration with Mike Bernon, Cranfield University School of Management, and was sponsored by the Department for Transport and CIMA. The presentation in Amsterdam followed on from presentations made to practitioner conferences in Vienna, Barcelona, Geneva and London during the last year. At the Amsterdam conference, John presented a reverse logistics self assessment and performance improvement toolkit which is now available in both hard copy and electronic formats.
