The MSc Management students, who attend the University of Sheffield’s prestigious Management School, were shown around Newburgh’s Rotherham-based facility by Managing Director Vincent Middleton.

Ian Proctor, Business Engagement Manager at the university, said: “The Management School is indebted to companies like Newburgh. We aim to give our students both the theoretical framework they need for business and the practical skills they can use in the workplace.  Visiting a real business and seeing how it works gives them an invaluable insights into the realities and challenges of running a successful business in a demanding economic environment. ”

Newburgh’s Managing Director Vincent Middleton said: “We were delighted to host a visit from the University of Sheffield, and to give something back to these bright young men and women. The need for exceptional business managers is increasing as more people reach retirement age, and I am inspired by these future leaders.”

The tour included a brief presentation into Newburgh’s 70 year history, as well as a question and answer session focussing on operations management.
